- A primary benefit is energy saving; LED lights consume much less electricity than traditional forms of lighting. It is important to note that 50% or more energy can be saved.
- The actual light fixtures last much longer than incandescent lamps. Working for between 50,000-70,000 hours.
- Due to the very long- life they don’t need to be changed as often, this in turn saves on maintenance costs. Other related issues such as factory downtime are also reduced.
- LED lights perform better than traditional alternatives in a wider temperature range, allowing for wider span of usage.
- LED lights have an extremely low UV and IR, which helps the environment and makes for a more pleasant workplace.
- LED products are lead and mercury-free, protecting the environment from unnecessary contamination

Standard fluorescent lighting can cause some health benefits where LED doesn’t cause a problem. For example fluorescent lighting has caused complaints in offices with problems such as headaches, eye strain and discomfort. This is caused by the flickering of the lighting even if it is imperceptible.
Another problem that comes with fluorescent lighting is the humming sound that can be tuned out but still has a negative effect on fatigue and causes irritation. LED lighting makes no humming sound and therefore has a more positive effect in the working environment.
